Temple of Ra slot machine for VZ200

A game made for the Retro Programmers Inside 2024 game jam!

An Egyptian-style slot machine.

The contest was to program it in BASIC, so it will be quite slow but still fun to play.

Winnings:

Wins are calculated from the left reel to the right reel. That is, to get a 'Pair' you need two non-bonus symbols on the two left-most reels. To get 3 of a kind you need to start at the left and work across to the right.

Non-bonus winning combinations: A pair, 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, a Straight.

Scarab beetles are Jackpot symbols. You need 3 shown in the "<- WIN" line. Bonus symbols do not need to match left-to-right.

Ankh symbols: You need at least 2 in the WIN line. Each one adds to the winning Multiplier. They do not need to match left-to-right.

Pyramids: You need at least two reels with the double-pyramids symbol in the WIN line to be awarded Free Spins. They do not need to match left-to-right.

This game is for the Dick Smith VZ-200 and VZ-300 computers (and other related systems).
